SUBURBAN SUBDIVISION - ENTRY MONUMENT DESIGN PROCESS

This design for a large suburban subdivision in Texas involved the full scope of design processes and design iteration. This project became a success and was eventually constructed and it looks great as the entrance to the housing development.

Here a few elements that were key factors in this thoughtful design; planting bed shape in relation to the columns, sign and fence, sign body shape and position in between columns, planting bed size in relation to the stone veneer wall, detailed shrub placement, tree placement in relation to columns and sign.

Here are the critical design elements that made the sign impactful and suitable for a high-end entry sign; wall size regulations and column proportions, subdivision sizing guidelines and colors, emblem style and positioning, shadow study, shrub height and size research, scale iteration, and visibility tests.
