Master Renovation Plan
An existing golf course in Eastern Iowa needed a design renovation. We pin pointed certain areas of the fairways, greens, bunkers and bodies of water that required redesigning. We factored in grading, cost, impact of site work and of course the golf course design elements in order to provide an effective plan for the course.
Grading and redesigning areas of the course involved many iterations of drawing and working with contours to provide a nice flowing and artistic grading plan. Hand sketching is very efficient in the beginning and translating hand drawings into the computer is a hallmark of how golf course design combines the old and new ways of creating amazing landscapes.
Managing the working through an entire site plan and grading plan is a large task but one for the most skilled landscape architects. Creating unique but proper drainage plans for a golf course is extremely important.
